Pets

My first pet I ever owned was a tortoise, eventually people started giving me more of them. And believe it or not my tortoise DIED. I mean, they always say that tortoises live the longest and oldest in the whole of the animal kingdom yet MINE DIED. Amazing, huh? It just stiffened to death while standing on top of the miniature yellow coloured bridge with plastic coconut trees at each side, which my sister and I painstakingly hunted down to embellish his cage. We had him buried..somewhere. I don't remember. The other tortoises lived till they were too big for their cage so we had them dumped into ponds nearby.

For those who don't know yet, I am madly in love with cats. I kept three cats back then, one at a time. My first cat was a beautifully enchanting white kitten with blue eyes and a black heart shaped patch thats worthy of your jaw dropping. Its name was Nanek. (don't ask why. my maids named it. yes i had more than one maid back then) It died, however. Pitifully. An unimaginable death -- it was killed by a HUGE SNAKE. I remember that night vividly: At 11.30pm, I was about to doze off in my parents' bedroom till I heard desperate screeches from my kitten. So, my dad and I went to check out what have happened. When I reached the room that my kitten was in, all I could see within the darkness was a black thing on the floor which looked like a bag to me. Before I register anything, my dad shoved me away quickly and started shouting at me to run away. Apparently, the black thing I saw was in fact a Boa Constrictor. Python, in simpler terms. And it was coiling my poor little kitten up. A python kills its prey by strangling and suffocating it. Being a helpless young kid, I was petrified and I panicked. All I could do was to stand by and just watched my beloved kitten get crushed to death. The python didn't get to swallow my kitten though, I guess he got shocked by the noise created by my father and everyone else. My father proceeded to gather everyone outta the house. My mum called the police and they came to grab the snake away. I weeped and weeped as I was burying my kitten outside my house. Ironically, my cantonese relatives relished over the traditional saying that when a snake comes to your house, it brings good luck. So they ALL went on to bet on 4-D. -.-

My second cat was this almost black kitten, with several tinges of golden stripes around his body and head. It exquisitely resembled a tiger. My primay school classmates picked him up from the streets and gave him to me as a gesture for me to get over Nanek. Those darlings. =) We named this kitten Miki. The little thing was so mischevious. Every morning without fail, I am rudely awaken by the determined gnaws of that fiesty devil. His cause of death: brutally knocked down by a car one night when he was out flirting with a black cat.

In the midst of having Miki, Michelle(my long time best friend) and I brought home yet another kitten which couldn't even walk yet. Golly. It wouldn't stop meowing in its high pitched shrills. Miki didn't like her/him, obviously. He even attempted to whack its tiny face. haha. told you he was a devil. We had to dump the kitten at Chomp Chomp, where there used to have many other cats thriving off the food scrapings that cat lovers would offer them.

After I moved away from Serangoon Garden and to Palm Grove we didn't have a pet for a long time. Till one day my dad brought home a golden retriever by surprise! GOLDEN RETRIEVER! I was super darn happy and was close to hyperventilating. We took good care of her for 2 weeks. But alas, my dad figured our home was much too small for a big dog. He returned it to its rightful owner. I got so upset I locked myself in my room and wept for a day.

I then had a puppy, a miniature schnauzer, Scruffy. He was almost the perfect little puppy. I loved him so dear, many of my friends loved him as much too. He left us due to our inexperience in keeping puppies, he had several diseases and soon died because of them. I cried so hard for 2 straight and even refused to eat. hmm..

Its unbelievable how each and every one of my pets disappeared from my life time and again.
Well currently I have Alfie, my darling puppy! And I heart him to bits. <3<3I witness utmost pain ever when each of my pets die. I've always been unable to accept death. Especially when recently my dearest friend Fadinah passed away. The pain I felt in my heart is overwhelming. How do you define death? How is it that, someone you love so dear can just, disappear from your life like that? In a blink of an eye, she's gone. How do you accept that you're not gonna be able to hear her voice and laughter ever again? And where does she go when she dies? I still can't accept that, she's goneee. I miss her so much!

You poor thing (are you in the 1st place? =p) having to endure animal deaths. Especially Miki's death. Quite a sad thing to be knocked down by a car when he's out flirting. Heeheehee.

So I should watch out for the cars when I flirt or else, like captainshit says, 'if not i DIE'. Hahaha.

By the waaay, why is Firdaus on top of F.A.D inah? I think if she sees that, she will sing KENTAL again. Hahaha! And her pontianak laughter is ringing inside my ears everyday. Teeheehee.
